Hahaha! That WAS easy. The salesperson's right--he (or she) won't be selling anything with that lack of persistence!
That's the oldest trick in the salesperson book- that guy was a screener- folks who go around trying to find set-ups- folks who show an interest in their windows. You did good- showed no interest at all.You definitely are not on his list!

We seem to be getting more of these kinds of inquiries--I've even had people get out of the car when they see me working on something outside to hand me a flier.
The latest issue of American Bungalow has an interesting article on restoration of windows (and a bit about the history of those horrid replacements.)
