The Puppy is Just Fine

Got the call back from the vet... the lump turned out to be a MASSIVE inflammation of the cuticle that manifested itself in a VERY odd way! YEAH! He probably stepped on one of the wasps that keep trying to make nests in our yard (on the ground) or stepped on a stick.

I never thought I would celebrate a massive inflamation. Guess there's a time for everything. And, at least it's gone? Though, surgical removal does seem a little bit overkill...

Thank you all SO much for all your kind words and thoughts as we worried about this this week!

Five more days of light walks until we can remove the bandage for good and let the pup run!

    I am so glad. I was worried about your puppers. I know when my first yorkie broke his little paw I was in the vets balling like a big old baby. So i am guessing you are relieved.

    Oh, that's wonderful news!! So glad he's okay. I like the anti-chewing sock, too. My little Pom needs a pair of those; he gnaws on his little front legs til the fur's gone.

    congratulations and hooray! My guy is going through some stuff now, and it's sooo stressful. I totally sympathize, and I'm so glad it's nothing!

    I'm so glad your puppy is okay! We've been going through a similar situation and it's so hard to keep a good puppy down:)
