If you decide to save money by cutting your own hair, make sure you change the hair guard on the clippers from oh-so-short 1/2 inch to cute-pixie-cut 1-1/2 inch BEFORE you start to cut your hair.
Baring that, at LEAST start at the bottom... NOT on top of your head.
I'm feeling a little shorn right now...
GIF! GIF!
ReplyDeleteThat's how my husband finally "decided" to try almost-shaving his head - his mother forget to change the guard after cutting her husband's hair. Never a good sign when the "barber" stops after the first "bzzt!" with "...Oops!"
I've been trying to talk her into doing the same thing to me, but since she doesn't cut my hair (a pixie cut, on me, ends up as the cowlick line in Trout Fishing in America) it's been hard to pull off.
I then tried to convince my husband I should shave it off as a show of solidarity with her every time she gets a VP shunt revision (brain surgery), but he hasn't gone along with that either.
Oof! At least you will be nice and cool for the summer :)
ReplyDeleteJust watch out for sunburn... my husband learned that one the hard way.
ReplyDeletewhat, no pics?
ReplyDeleteoh, I so wanna see pictures. . .
ReplyDeleteBeen there! I always liked the scissor approach for the top though... for exactly that reason, there is way more control.
ReplyDeleteThe nice thing about short hair is, it will double it't length in a month!
LOL! I did that to my sweetie once. It was kind of nice for me, as I didn't have to cut it again for quite a while. I don't mind doing his hair but I HATE HATE HATE trying to safely cut around his ears. The current clippers don't have the ear attachment part, but I got them because they're professional grade. In the last 15 years, we've been through 3 other pairs because the cheap ones are, well, cheap.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others. We need pictures! Just the top of your head will do if you want to maintain some privacy. C'mon, I showed my white hairs.
No pic???
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, I'm a no-guard myself... gotta keep a hat or sunscreen on constantly.
